Building Remediation Project
Royal Central Tower
When the Royal Central Tower, a stately building with a beautifully designed interior but an aging exterior, was ravaged by a tornado, it seemed like an insurmountable setback. The building owner called the experts from Childress Engineering Company to assist.
Childress didn’t just help the building’s owner negotiate a successful resolution with the insurance company; we brought an innovative solution to the table that would not only restore the building but transform it, all while saving millions of dollars. Our proposal was audacious: replace the entire facade and give the building a more modern, attractive look – for less money.
The plan involved expanding the building’s footprint with a new skin – a daring move that promised to rejuvenate the tower. The Childress team orchestrated the removal of the old glass from the interior at night so as to not disturb the tenants. In fact, throughout this entire transformation, the tenants remained in the building, their routines undisturbed.
The Childress team didn’t just save the Royal Central Tower; we reinvented it. Our expertise and innovative approach turned a disaster into a triumph, saving the client millions of dollars and showcasing the power of smart, forward-thinking engineering.
